Nazrana Hamidy began her journey at the Lifelong Learning Center as an English Language Learner, building the language and confidence needed to pursue her goals. She later continued her growth through the Workplace Literacy in Early Childhood Education program, gaining practical skills and knowledge to support young learners. Today, Nazrana’s story reflects the power of education, perseverance, and opportunity in creating meaningful career pathways.


English as a Second Language or ESL
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are free and provide an opportunity for adult, non-native English speakers to improve their communication skills while learning about American culture, civics, government, education, citizenship, technology (computers), and health care literacy. Instruction focuses on real-life situations and helps develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar skills.

  • Sign up for Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.

EL Civics Classes
EL Civics classes help you improve your English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening while learning how to participate in everyday life in the United States. Topics include government, education, the workplace, banking, and health care.

We also offer U.S. citizenship preparation classes. These classes help you understand what it means to become a U.S. citizen, including the rights and benefits citizens receive, as well as the responsibilities of citizenship.
